MOVE To Give

April 25th

MOVE To Give

Event Start: 2015-04-25 00:00:00

Event End: 2015-04-25 00:00:00

The YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka is excited to be evolving our approach to our fundraising events, transitioning our scattered event efforts into a massive, single-day event spanning across the Simcoe/Muskoka Region! This event, called Move to Give, is taking our previous fundraising efforts like the annual Golf Tournament to the next level by using coordinated branding and awareness to drive even greater levels of participation and fundraising. This will help the YMCA raise our visibility throughout the region; sharing the many effects we have on our communities while raising funds to help us continue making those impacts. Move to Give is taking place on April 25th in 6 communities (Barrie, Collingwood/Wasaga, Gravenhurst, Innisfil, Midland, and Orillia). We hope to see you there, breaking a sweat and having a great time! While we are working hard to make Move to Give bigger and better than our fundraising events of the past, our ultimate success will hinge on the willingness of companies like Larche Communications to help. A Prize Donation will help us achieve our vision for Move to Give and, ultimately, make a lasting impression on our community. We also challenge Larch Communcations and your employees to register and participate in Move to Give at ymcaofsimcoemuskoka.ca/movetogive! Nearly one quarter of the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka’s membership base receives financial assistance from the YMCA. With physical activity recognized as the largest modifiable risk factor for chronic disease, we recognize the importance of a physically activity in building healthy, happy communities. Last year the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka provided assistance valued at almost $1.2 million to help over 6,700 people in our communities experience better health in spirit, mind and body. We are able to provide this assistance due to the generosity and understanding that our communities have shown towards the important services that the YMCA provides. Thank you for your time and consideration! We look forward to working with you to make Move to Give an incredible success story in our community!
