Attempted Bank Robbery in Orillia

Orillia OPP are on the lookout for a man who allegedly attempted to rob a bank yesterday. Police say they were called to the Scotiabank on Monarch Drive in the City of Orillia around 4 o’clock Friday. They say the suspect told the teller he had a gun, but then fled the area after a brief encounter. The suspect in described as 18-25 years of age with a thin build, standing 5’10”-6′-2″, and was wearing blue jeans and a black coat. Anyone with information is asked to contact OPP or Crime Stoppers.
