It was a chance arrest for Barrie Police.

Officers were called about an unwanted gathering to an apartment on Dunlop Street near Mulcaster where they located seven people inside. One woman inside was bound by the court not to associate with two others at the apartment. While being searched at the police headquarters, officers discovered 30 grams of fentanyl and $5700 in cash they believed to be connected to drug trafficking. The 25 year old woman is facing opioid and breach of recognizance charges.

Fentanyl overdoses can occur with only two milligrams, or the equivalent of a few grains of salt.
