Barrie Police have teamed up with the OPP and are still looking for Mandy Thompson. Right now police are searching near Old Barrie Rd and Penetanguishene Rd using a helicopter and drones, as well as K9 and search and rescue teams.

Barrie Police released this video of a woman believed to be missing senior Mandy Thompson walking near a property along Penetanguishene Rd

From Barrie Police:

“A tip was received earlier today which extended search efforts into Oro-Medonte Township, east of Penetanguishene Road and Georgian Drive. Further investigation has provided police with video surveillance which resembles a woman believed to be Mandy Thompson walking northbound on Penetanguishene Road on Friday, February 3, at 10:00 a.m.

Police are requesting anyone who resides in the Oro-Medonte Township area east of Penetanguishene Road and surrounding area to check their properties including barns, sheds, vehicles and garages for any possible sightings of Mandy.”


Mandy Thompson, 72-years-old, went missing from her Barrie residence on Laidlaw Drive just before 7:30 a.m. Friday Feb. 3.
Police are concerned for her safety, and believe she is not dressed for the cold weather.
Mandy is described as;
5’8
Medium build
Short red hair
Wearing a black coat and white running shoes.
