Coors Banquet announced it’s six finalists for this year’s One Horse Town contest.  Out of thousands of nominations Orillia, has the chance to prove that it has a BIG passion for COUNTRY MUSIC!


If Orillia can receive the most votes with your help; they will have the opportunity to host a concert featuring multi-platinum Grammy-winning superstar Darius Rucker, 2017 ACM New Male Vocalist Award winner Jon Pardi, three-time reigning CCMA Female Artist of The Year and 2017 JUNO Award winner Jess Moskaluke and hot newcomers from KICX Country James Barker Band.


The second round of voting is now open and we need you to help us bring these amazing artists to KICX Country. Voting is open to Canadians over the age of 19 and the town that receives the most votes by July 9, at 11:59 PM will be announced the winner of One Horse Town.

Darius Rucker is a grammy award winner who just scored his 8th #1 song with If I Told You. That song will be on his upcoming 5th solo album due out in October.

Jon Pardi burst onto the scene with fan favourite Head Over Boots which helped him secure the 2017 ACM New Male Vocalist award. He’s followed that up with Dirt On My Boots and his latest Heartache on the Dance Floor.

Jess Moskaluke hit the airwaves with Good Lovin’ and has become the face and voice of females in Canadian Country Music. She is a multiple award winning artists who just gets better and better with every song.

James Barker Band are one of the hottest acts to come out of Canada in the last few years and they just happenm to be from KICX Country. After winning the Boots and Hearts Emerging Artist showcase they burst onto the scene with Lawn Chair Lazy and haven’t looked back since. Their debut album Game On already features 2 #1 hits with Lawn Chair Lazy and Just Sayin’. Their 3rd single Chills is currently in the Top 3 on the charts.
