Time to enjoy a week of fun in KICX Country during the March break, but if you are wondering where the fun is happening here are a few suggestions.

MacLaren Art Centre in Barrie

The MacLaren Art Centre in Barrie is offering five fun days of art-making experimentation called ArtLAB.  This is a full-day camp program for ages 6 to 11 years old with artist Christyn Grampola who will engage campers in a variety of innovative techniques and materials exploring the creative possibilities where art and science meet.

Barrie Public Library

The Barrie Public Library has puppeteers ready to present a fun-filled show for ages 3 and up.  Please note that this is a free event, but due to limited seating, tickets will be available one half hour before the show in the library lobby. Tickets will not be given to people to hold for others arriving later. Limit of 60 people, including adults at each show.

 

Orillia Public Library


There are many fun events planned at the Orillia Public Library including the Zootek Live Animal Show on Friday, March 17 from 11 a.m. or 1 p.m.  Zootek is an entertaining and informative show that is best suited to children 3+ and families. Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by a parent. Registration is required, $4 per child, please contact Children’s Services to register.

Talk about fun, the Midland Public Library movie schedule for the week is incredible.  Secret Life Of Pets, Finding Dory, Angry Birds, and the movie Storks is just a sample of the fun happening at the library.
