Missing bike, sad boy
Written By: Wednesday, May 2nd 2018

An Angus mom is hoping that her son’s bike wasn’t stolen, but that someone picked it up by accident and will return it when they realize the truth.

Here is the email sent to KICX 106 this morning:

My son is 9yrs old and on April 30 at 4:45pm he went to visit a friend. Unfortunately, he left his bicycle at the end of his friend’s driveway, on Collier Crescent in Angus. When he came outside to go home at 5:15pm, his bicycle and helmet were gone. I am hoping that someone just thought it was free and maybe will hear about it and realize that it was not free and that there is a very unhappy boy without a bicycle to ride this summer and will return it. If you know of a friend, family member or neighbour that has picked up a bicycle in this manner, then please let them know the truth. The bicycle is red and white and the helmet is a black “Bell” (name on it) helmet with red flames.

Can you please help me get the word out…someone could hear this and return it.

Thank you very much in advance,
Shannon Van Ekeren

Anyone with information can either return the bike to the house where they picked it up, or drop Carey an email at carey.moran@bellmedia.ca so we can reunite this 9-year-old with his bike.
