OPP Looking For New Leads In Year Old Sex Assault Case In Collingwood

Collingwood OPP are looking for new leads in a sexual assault case from last year. The provincial police released a video detailing the assault that happened last New Year’s day when a 17 year old girl was attacked near Birch and Second Street.

The suspect in this case is also being sought in Toronto for another sexual assault that took place in the summer of 2015.

Police report:

On January 1, 2017, at approximately 1:20 a.m., a 17-year-old female was walking through a residential area near Birch Street and Second Street in Collingwood. She was forced into a vehicle and assaulted.

On July 28, 2015, at approximately 12:56 a.m., a 23-year-old female was walking home from a bus station near Rogers Road and Dufferin Street in Toronto. She was approached by the suspect, forced into an alley and assaulted. Police have confirmed that both sexual assaults were committed by the same individual. The suspect’s car is described as a four-door sedan (2005-2010), silver/grey or tan in colour with black steel winter rims.
