Stolen skis, snowboards recovered in Barrie drug bust.

In November 2017, the Barrie Police Street Crime Unit concluded a thorough investigation involving the trafficking of controlled substances from a residence on Sanford Street, in the City of Barrie.
On Tuesday, November 28th, 2017 while officers were preparing to execute a search warrant at the Barrie residence as well as on an involved motor vehicle, the suspects were observed at the Quality Inn located at 55 Hart Drive, in the City of Barrie, where several transactions were observed consistent with the trafficking of a controlled substance from the hotel room. Subsequently, a search warrant for that hotel room was also granted.

During the execution of the warrants at both locations as well as the vehicle, the following was seized:

Over $24,000 in cash
A quantity of Crack Cocaine
A quantity of Gabapentin pills
A quantity of Marijuana
A quantity of Psilocybin
Multiple electronic devices

Also seized was a Canon camera & equipment on file as stolen in a previous Break & Enter dating back to October, three sets of skis and four snowboards believed to be connected to other Break & Enters in the area. Officers are still looking to identify the owners of some of the stolen property. Anyone who believes an item belongs to them is asked to contact Detective B. A 25-year-old Barrie female has been charged with:

Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking- Cocaine
Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
Possession of a Controlled Substance- Cocaine
A 33-year-old Barrie male has been charged with:

Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking- Cocaine
Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
During the execution of the warrant, a 35-year-old Barrie male who was wanted by Barrie Police Service for previously failing to attend court was also located. He was arrested and held for bail to answer to his charges.
